Our passion for registered Ayrshires and showing began in 1995 with the purchase of two calves for Julia & Eric. As the saying goes, “the rest is history.” We’re currently milking 75 cows and focus on breeding animals that combine show ring style with profitable milk production.
Today, we have multiple cow families that comprise our herd, some with over 20 descendants in the barn.
Our main focus is on the registered Ayrshires, but we also have quite a few Holsteins. We offer custom boarding and currently board numerous Jerseys, so there is quite a bit of diversity in the barn! For custom boarding inquiries please contact us here.
Shot is working on her third consecutive lactation over 23,000 pounds! We are expecting 3 IVF heifer calves from her in September 2017 – Inquiries welcome! Her Burdette bull is also available.
Locust-Spring Gibbs Perfecta
Pictured above is the matriarch to our beloved T-Family, Locust-Spring Skybuck Trixie EX-93. She was known by many as “The Queen.” Eric credits Trixie for teaching him to “Dream Big” and showing him that hard work really does pay off. She leaves behind over 3 generations of excellent cows and a lasting impression on the herd. On April 5, 2014, we made the heart-wrenching decision to have Trixie put down and buried on the farm – it was the least we could do for a cow that gave so much to the farm.
We’re working on continuously updating this page with pictures and “biographies” of our cow families – remain patient with us as we work on this! 🙂
